Diecast Car Racing Questions and Answers
How do i register my diecast car for the next race? You can register your Hot Wheels® or Matchbox® car by completing the form on our Events page. Once you submit your entry, you’ll receive a confirmation email with class details, and mailing instructions.
Where do I mail my diecast race car? After registering, you’ll get the official mail-in address in your confirmation email. When mailing, please include your: 1. Full name 2. Race Team Name 3. Email address 4. Return address 5. Race class (e.g., Stock, Modified, Custom) Unregistered or unlabeled cars may not be entered into competition.
How should I package my car for mailing? We recommend shipping your car in a small, sturdy box (not an envelope) with bubble wrap or foam padding to protect it in transit. Include your entry form. Use tracked shipping if possible to ensure your car’s safe arrival.
Can I enter more than one car? Absolutely! Many racers submit multiple entries. Include each car on the entry form and entry fee. You can race in multiple classes or send different builds for testing.
What happens to my car after the race? After the event, we’ll carefully repack your car and mail it back to you. Results are also posted publicly on our Events page and the video uploaded to our YouTube channel.
What if my diecast race car gets damaged? We handle all entries with care, both during check-in and racing. However, we’re not responsible for any damage caused by shipping carriers or on-track contact. To reduce risk, make sure your diecast racing car is securely packaged and wheels are free-spinning before mailing.
Do I need to attend the race in person? Nope! All mail-in entries are raced by our official track crew. You can watch the action once the video has been uploaded to our YouTube channel.
How can I see race results? All results are published on our Events page, usually once the video has been uploaded to our YouTube channel. A link 'View Results' will show the complete event data separately.
What’s the entry fee? Entry fees vary depending on the class and event. Fees help the time it takes to cover track operation and video editing. Subscribers to our website who enter races, benefit by paying no more that $5 per race, plus the cost of returning their race car. So being a member of Timber Creek Speedway offers cost savings.
What are the different race classes? Typical race classes include: Stock: Factory cars with no modifications Modified: Cars with wheel swaps, polished axles, or weight tuning Custom: Fully repainted or rebuilt cars (appearance judged as well as performance) Class availability may vary by event — details are always listed on our Events page.
